چکیده

Received October 2006 Accepted May 2007 INTRODUCTION Ureteral anomalies, ectopic ureter being one of them, are of the most important urogenital abnormalities because they directly affect kidney function.(1) Several techniques have been used for treatment of ectopic ureter. The goal of obstruction relief can be achieved by either ureteropyelostomy or common sheath ureteral reimplantation for a duplicated system, or reimplantation for a single system.(1) Heminephrectomy and ureteropyelostomy are well described elsewhere, but several technical points deserve emphasis.(1) Laparoscopic procedures putatively offer reduced morbidity due to less postoperative pain, earlier return of gastrointestinal function, earlier discharge, and a quicker return to work. To our knowledge laparoscopic reimplantation for ectopic ureter has not been reported, yet. We performed laparoscopic ureteral reimplantation on a 29-year-old man with ectopic ureter.

Laparoscopic Ureteral Reimplantation in Endometriosis: A Severe Case

In aggressive cases, endometriosis can perturb the urogenital tract, in particular the ureter, which can potentially result in ureteral compression or stenosis. Even though this is rare, consequences are dramatic, such as hydronephrosis or organ failure. The present standard intervention comprises the resection of affected tissues and endometriosis foci combined with adjuvant hormonal therapy. ...

Modified laparoscopic intravesical nonrefluxing ureteral reimplantation with psoas hitch using a submucosal tunneling

We aimed to study the safety and efficacy of the cystoscopy-assisted nonrefluxing ureteral reimplantation technique using submucosal tunneling during laparoscopic ureteroneocystostomy (UNC) with a psoas hitch in patients with distal ureter stricture after gynecologic surgery. We reviewed six female patients who underwent gynecological surgeries. All patients showed persistent postoperative dist...

AB100. Laparoscopic ureteral reimplantation underneath broad ligament tunnel for female vesicoureteral stenosis: a technical innovation

INTRODUCTION In order to anatomically reconstruct ureteral stenosis, we present a novel technique for laparoscopic ureteral reimplantation. PATIENTS AND METHODS Three young females, who were diagnosed with hydroureteronephrosis caused by congenital vesicoureteral junction obstruction, were treated by laparoscopic ureteral reimplantation with a tunnel underneath the broad ligament. RESULTS S...

Recognition and Management of Ectopic Ureterocele During Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy

Ectopic ureter and ureterocele are rare congenital anomalies. As such, are seldom encountered incidentally during urologic surgery. We present a case illustrating an unforeseen encounter of an ectopic ureter with an associated ureterocele during a robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) and the surgical technique used to adapt to the anatomical variation.

Totally laparoscopic ureteroneocystostomy with intracorporeal tailoring for primary obstructive megaureter

Laparoscopic procedures have usually been employed as an alternative to open surgery for the management of several urologic problems. Laparoscopic ureteroneocystostomy is rarely reported despite the description of different techniques. Ramalingam et al. described a 3case series of successful laparoscopic Boari flap ureteral reimplantations. Gao el al. also described a 3-case series of laparosco...
